Bishop Spencer Place – Bishop’s Benefit

Mendi Hanna and Kim Armstrong were co-chairmen of Bishop’s Benefit, a benefit for benevolent care at Bishop Spencer Place. The October 15th event was held at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center and kicked off 20th anniversary celebrations for the community, which opened its doors on December 6, 1995.

Lyric Opera Circle – Seduction Ball

The Lyric Opera Circle’s Seduction Ball will be held on April 2nd at Union Station Kansas City. The honorary chairmen are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bruening, and Mrs. Jack Spilker is the Circle president. The theme of the 30th annual event was inspired by the timeless allure of the opera, Carmen. Crib Note – Thompson

Double the pleasure, double the fun! Gorgeous twin boys, Jack Edward Thompson and Harry Townley Thompson, arrived on August 14th to proud parents Maigan and Hayes Thompson of Nashville, Tennessee. The darling duo joins big sister Charlotte Opal, age two. Both boys weighed close to five pounds. Jack was 18 inches, and Harry was 17 and 3/4 inches. Jack and Harry’s delighted grandparents are Barbara and Webster Thompson of Mission Hills and Diane and Ron Shanks of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
