Kansas City Young Audiences – Benefit Concert for Arts Education

Kansas City Young Audiences’ Benefit Concert for Arts Education was held on October 3rd at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Guests enjoyed a concert that featured Kristin Chenoweth, who performed with the Kansas City Symphony in Helzberg Hall. Judy and Jim Heeter were the honorary chairmen, and Chad Rau served as chairman.

KCYA students surprised guests with a flash mob in the lobby of the Kauffman Center before the Concert.

CGSC Foundation – Celebration of International Friendship

The CGSC Foundation in partnership with the GKC Chapter of People to People and Operation International from the Leavenworth/Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the second annual Celebration of International Friendship at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The event was held to honor and welcome the 2015-2016 class of international military officers studying at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.

Prelude 2015: Building on the Past. Imagining the Future

Members of the Karbank family were the honorary chairmen, and Prudence and Robert True served as chairmen of Prelude 2015: Building on the Past. Imagining the Future. As the inaugural event in The 1900 Building, Harriman-Jewell Series’ guests enjoyed an evening in industrial elegance, complete with cocktails, dinner by Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions, a silent auction, and a performance by emerging violinist Simone Porter.

Congratulations, John & Paul!

John Marshall Watson and Paul Sidney Sparks were married on September 12th at Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church in Bridgehampton, New York. Marshall is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Etheridge Watson, Jr., and Paul is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Paul Sparks. The evening prior, Marshall and Paul hosted a rehearsal dinner at their beautiful home in East Hampton.
