More than 500 guests enjoyed the rooftop crawl that featured five of the best rooftops in the Crossroads, including Barkley, Three Points, Bishop-McCann, Encompas, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Catherine Alice Hoverder and Justin Alphonse Mercurio were married on June 5th at St. Therese Parish Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hoverder of Kansas City. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Fletcher Davis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hoverder. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Mercurio of Parkville, Missouri. Justin is the grandson of Virginia Burgman of Lenexa, the late Mr. William Burgman and Mrs.

Matthew Gigliotti

Spotlight on Centurions
Matthew Gigliotti is a member of Centurions, Class of 2016. He is a co-chairman of the Benchmarking Trip Task Force and is a member of the projects committee. He and his wife, Nicole, are passionate about the Royals, backpacking, camping, and the preservation of nature’s special places. They have a daughter, Sophia, and a dog, Porter.

Symphony Fun
Oakwood Country Club was the perfect setting for the Symphony Women’s Association’s Swing Fling. Guests enjoyed cocktails, a delicious dinner and dancing. A Patrons’ Party was held at the beautiful home of Barbara and Dr. William Godfrey.

Healthy U

Women & Children
The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, developed Healthy U in partnership with University Academy from 2010 through 2015 to teach its students about nutrition and fitness. Thanks to their efforts, more than 155,000 pounds of healthy food was sent home with children over the weekends and summer months through the Harvesters Backsnack project and 92 percent of participants in the Family Dinner project implemented a behavioral change related to healthier living.
