The Uptown Theater was the perfect setting for the seventh annual Kansas City Tip-Off on March 26th. Scotty McCreery, former American Idol winner; was the featured performer. Proceeds from the event support Kansas City’s Medicine Cabinet.

Joe Arri

Starlight Theatre is so very fortunate to have Joe Arri as a volunteer. He has been a member of the Ambassador team for four years, and serves as an usher captain for Broadway shows. Joe received the prestigious 2014 Woodson Award from Starlight. Joe also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and Havesters. Thank you, Joe, for everything you do for Our Town!

Amy Bretall

Amy Bretall is a member of the Centurions, Class of 2015. She serves as co-chairman of the projects committee. Amy is the founder and CEO of Arbor Grove, a human resources, public outreach and real estate firm. She received a bachelor of science degree in business from Missouri State University, and a master’s degree in human resources management from Webster University. She is currently pursuing a PhD.

Opus 3875

Strike A Chord
The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts held a World Premiere of a documentary film about the making of the Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ, Opus 3875. Nearly 600 guests attended the March 1st event that included live organ selections by Jan Kraybill, organ conservator.

Civic Service Awards Celebration

Seeding the Future
March 29th was the date for the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy’s Civic Service Awards Celebration, “Seeding the Future.” Ann and Kenneth Baum were the honorary chairmen, and Renana and Michael Abrams served as chairmen of the 42nd annual event that was held at the Overland Park Convention Center. Guests enjoyed cocktails, an auction, dinner, awards, entertainment, and a video.
