Congratulations, Emily & Benjamin!

Engagement 
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Williams of Coppell, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Elizabeth Williams, to Benjamin Gustav Wickman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Fred Wickman of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Williams and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Jaeger. Emily is a graduate of Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas. She earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism from The University of Kansas.

Annual Luncheon

Women’s Employment Network 
Nearly 1,200 guests gathered on April 8th for the Women’s Employment Network  Annual Luncheon. Dianne and Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II were the honorary chairmen, and Katie Van Luchene and Beth Zollars served as co-chairmen of the event that celebrates and honors women in Our Town who have overcome great obstacles to achieve economic stability for themselves and their families. Alice Ellison received the 2015 Beth K. Smith Award.

Ginny Marie Craig

Crib Note 
A pink bundle of joy named Ginny Marie Craig arrived on March 9th to Nicole and B.J. Craig of Our Town. The little beauty weighed nine pounds, three ounces and has slate blue eyes and dark brown hair. Her proud grandparents are Marianne and Timothy J. Burns of Loch Lloyd and Mary Ann and Bernard D. Craig of Mission Hills and Naples, Florida. Ginny is named after her beloved maternal great-grandmother, Virginia “Ginny” Burns, who passed away on January 20th.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alfred Joseph Lane, Sr., of Mission Hills and the late Mr. Lane and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Turner, Jr. Megan is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School.

Once Upon A Time

Family Fun
The Children’s SPOT at Saint Luke’s Hospital’s 18th annual Once Upon A Time was held on March 1st at Starlight Theatre. Amy and Eric Graham and Lisa and Curt Chase were the co-chairmen, and Pembroke Hill Freshman Bradley Chapin served as the live auctioneer. More than 360 children and adults enjoyed dazzling table décor, dancing, dinner, games, great family entertainment, and costumed characters, including an army of Star Wars characters.
