The evening of 12-13-14 was an extraordinary one at Mission Hills Country Club. Members celebrated the Club’s 100th Anniversary at the Centennial Gala and enjoyed dinner, drinks and mingling into the night.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Aires!

Blair Yukon Benjamin and Daniel Mark Aires were married on August 31st at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lyon Benjamin of Overland Park. Her groom is the son of of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Aires of San Diego, California. The evening prior, the groom’s parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner at The Roasterie.

Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Rivers Hughes of Greenville, South Carolina, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Madeline Brooke Hughes, to David Carter Ward, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Hardman Ward of Mission Hills. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Bullard Whelpley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earle Hughes. Brooke is a graduate of Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville.

The bride is the daughter of Kathy Smith of Leawood and the late Mr. Mike Smith. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lenny Madalinski of Elgin, Illinois, and Mr. Ronald Donais, Sr. of Arcadia, Wisconsin. The evening prior, the bride and groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at an estate in Temecula.
