2017 Most Wanted Honoree Colby Jones is Chief Financial Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. He began his involvement with BBBS as a bowling captain at Bowl for Kids’ Sake in 1998. Colby was a Big Brother for 10 years and was named Big Brother of the Year for the state of Missouri in 2011. He also served on the BBBS donation center board for 15 years and on the BBBS agency board for eight years.

Spotlight on Centurions – Janelle Hersperger

Janelle Hersperger is a Kansas City native. As a member of Centurions, class of 2018, she has served on the History of Kansas City Task Force and the community leadership committee. Janelle is employed with Citizens Bank & Trust as a vice president of commercial banking. She enjoys teaching budgeting and working with children, activities she pursues by volunteering with Community LINC. Janelle and her fiancé, Nolan Aubrecht, are planning an April 2018 wedding.

The Kansas City Zoo – Jazzoo “Peacocks and Plumage”

Guests celebrated “Peacocks and Plumage” at Jazzoo, which was held at the Kansas City Zoo on June 2nd. Trish and John Dorsey served as chairmen of the event, which featured entertainment by Disco Dick and the Mirror Balls, D.J. Kirby and other great bands from Our Town. Partygoers clad in feathers and animal prints enjoyed specialty cocktails (including Peacock Punch!), cuisine from more than 70 local restaurants and rides on the Train and the Endangered Species Carousel.
