The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s Healthy U program focuses on nutrition and undernourishment, healthy choices, eating on a budget, and fitness. In partnership with Harvesters, the League has adopted University Academy, providing classes and family dinners to participants at the school.

Congratulations, Tiffany and Thomas!

Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Lyman of Manhattan, Kansas are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tiffany Bo Lyman, to Thomas Edward Ruzicka, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ruzicka of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. Herman Kastner of Manhattan, Kansas, and the late Mrs. Kastner, and Mrs. Mike Lyman of Olathe and the late Mr. Lyman. Tiffany is a graduate of Manhattan High School.

Strutt With Your Mutt

Wayside Waifs
Strutt With Your Mutt was held on September 20th in Brookside. More than 1,300 people and their pets strutted down Brookside Boulevard on a beautiful Sunday morning in support of Wayside Waifs. Proceeds support the rescue and care for thousands of animals on their journey to find forever homes.

Fall Luncheon

Beautiful Ballet 
The Kansas City Ballet Guild’s 2014-2015 Season’s Fall Luncheon was held on September 11th at Webster House. Members enjoyed a delicious lunch, beautiful fall floral arrangements from Craig Sole Designs and the Kansas City Ballet Second Company dancers in their vibrant Alice (in wonderland) costumes.
