The Kansas City Ballet’s fourth annual KC Dance Day was held on August 23rd at the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity. The special event featured free dance and fitness classes for children and adults, as well as performances by local dance groups and world dance groups representing different dance cultures.

Create the Night…POP!
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art introduces its annual gala, Create the Night…POP! which will be held on February 21st at the Museum. The spectacular evening will celebrate the iconic Pop Art Era and the Museum’s explosive Pop Art Collection. Guests will enjoy an evening of surprise and enchantment, as well as cocktails, a festive dinner and entertainment. An original work of performance art, filled with light, motion, color, and sound, will be featured.

Lions in Four Launch Party

Fashion Forward
 Laura and Lantz Welch’s beautiful Camelot Castle at Weatherby Lake was the setting for the Lions in Four Launch Party on October 28th. Lions in Four is a socially conscious clothing and accessory brand created by Julie Martin of Our Town and is available at feng in Leawood and Halls on Grand.

Notre Dame de Sion

Got Game? 
Following terrific performances in the Girls’ Tennis Class 2 District Tournament and an impressive showing at Sectionals over the weekend (Notre Dame de Sion took first place overall at both tournaments), Sion’s Tennis team is headed to the Missouri state tournament this weekend. Freshman Catherine Henne won Singles 1st place. Senior Michaela Henne and sophomore Margo Gerke won Doubles 1st place in Individual Districts.
