2014 Crescendo

Tipping Our Hat 
Deanna and Greg Graves are the honorary chairmen, and Katherine and Jim Schorgl are serving as the chairmen of UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance’s 2014 Crescendo. The November 7th event will be held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The exciting evening showcases the amazing students and faculty in a dynamic performance. Jacob Funk is one of these talented students. He is studying toward his doctor of musical arts degree in choral conducting.

American Diabetes Association – Kansas City
November 1st is the date for Unmask the Cure, a benefit for the American Diabetes Association – Kansas City Area. Elizabeth and Jim Tinsman, Sr. are serving as the chairmen of the eighth annual gala, to be held at the Uptown Theater.

Congratulations, Caroline & Wiley!

Engagement 
Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Page Crowther, Jr. of Prairie Village are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Berkley Crowther, to Patrick Wiley Curran, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Patrick Curran of Mission Hills. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Doolittle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Page Crowther, Sr. Caroline is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School.

Emeka Anyanwu

Emeka Anyanwu graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and received his master’s degree in business administration from Rockhurst University in 2007. He is director of asset management, planning and design at Kansas City Power & Light Company. Emeka is a member of the Centurions, Class of 2015, and serves on the Wildcard Task Force, which focuses on emergency preparedness.

Brady Legler

TIVOL’s fashion FORWARD Event
Jewelry designer and artist Brady Legler featured his jewelry collection at TIVOL’s fashion FORWARD event on September 20th, on the Country Club Plaza. A native of Our Town, Brady is a graduate of The Barstow School. He began designing jewelry at the age of 19 with the inspiration of his Italian grandmother, Lou. Lou was a fashion model who shared wonderful advice with Brady as he developed his own style.
