Kansas City Symphony Alliance – 48th Symphony Designers’ Showhouse

The Kansas City Symphony Alliance will host the 48th Symphony Designers’ Showhouse until May 14th at 816 Gleed Terrace. The first Symphony Designers’ Showhouse was presented in 1970. The project has enabled the Kansas City Symphony Alliance to contribute more than five million dollars to the Kansas City Symphony.

The Interior Design Student Association at Johnson County Community College created the Mr. Homeowner’s office.

Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy – Civic Service Award Celebration

More than 350 supporters of Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy celebrated its 51st year at the annual Civic Service Award Celebration, “Our Next Chapter.” The March 26th event was held at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Crosby Kemper III and Jonathan Kemper were honored for their work with the Kansas City Public Library. Elizabeth and Paul Uhlmann III were the chairmen of the special evening that featured cocktails, dinner and music.

Congratulations, Lisa & Kelly!

Susan Virden Carpenter and Mr. Kirk Weldon Carpenter, both of Prairie Village, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Carpenter, to Kelly Price McKee, the son of Margaret McKee of Fallbrook, California. Lisa is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Virden, the late Ruth Carpenter and the late Raymond Carpenter. She is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. Lisa earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from DePauw University.

Rising Star Reflections – Kimberly Wilkerson

Kimberly Wilkerson holds executive leadership positions and oversees operations on the boards of KCPT Public Television 19 and 909 The Bridge and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. Working closely with both boards and the organization’s leaders, Micheal Lawrence, BBBSKC; and Kliff Kuehl, KCPT/The Bridge; she gets to make a high level impact on both of these fantastic organizations.
