Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harold Wenzel II of Mission Hills are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amelia Elizabeth Wenzel, to Paul Joseph Reintjes, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Reintjes, Jr. of Mission Hills. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Raymond H. Johnson, Jr. of Westwood and the late Mr. Johnson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harold Wenzel.

Jeff Turner

Jeff Turner grew up in Chillicothe, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is a member of the Centurions Class of 2015 and serves as a co-chairman of the Benchmarking Trip Task Force. Jeff lives in Brookside with his wife, Amy, and their two daughters, Corrine and Anna.

Serving from the Heart Gala

Sisters, Servants of Mary
The Serving from the Heart Gala was held on October 4th at Church of the Ascension. Mary and Mike Sullivan served as chairmen. More than 500 guests enjoyed the evening benefitting The Sisters, Servants of Mary who provide private nursing to the sick and terminally ill in Our Town free of charge.

Blue Carpet Event

The Family Conservancy
September 26th was the date for The Family Conservancy’s annual Blue Carpet Event. Rykelle Seger from the Student Assistance Program was the featured speaker. Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, dinner and silent and live auctions at Studio Dan Meiners.  The Martha Comment family was the honorary co-chairmen.

Civics Honoring Day

Kansas City Young Matrons
On October 8th, The Kansas City Young Matrons celebrated Civics Honoring Day at their historic clubhouse. Past presidents and silver, life and honorary members were honored.  National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Kansas City Executive Director Guyla Stidman educated members about the services the organization provides to those who suffer from mental illness. KCYM will host The Magic Ball on January 15th, which will benefit NAMI UMKC.
