Caro Elizabeth Fehsenfeld

Crib Note
A pink bundle of joy named Caro Elizabeth Fehsenfeld was born on June 25th. She weighed six pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 and one half inches long. Caro has blue eyes and lovely red hair. Her proud parents are Emily and Wesley Fehsenfeld of Fairway. Her delighted grandparents are Elizabeth and Paul Uhlmann III of Our Town and Debra Davis of Charleston, South Carolina, and Joseph Fehsenfeld of Delavan, Wisconsin. Caro’s namesakes are her great-great grandmother and her great aunt.

Bride’s Book
Katherine Therese Schilling and Christian Joseph Clark were married on July 19th at Visitation Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas John Schilling of Overland Park. Katherine is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Miller of Our Town and Mr. and Mrs. George Schilling of South Bend, Indiana. Her groom is the son of Mrs. Joseph A. Clark III of Ridgewood, New Jersey, and the late Mr. Clark.

Celebrating a Century of Heroes

100 Years in Kansas City
Celebrating a Century of Heroes: 100 Years in Kansas City will be held on October 23rd at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. Nancy Lee and Jonathan Kemper are the honorary chairmen, and Diane Canaday Hesse, Susie Heddens, Margi Pence, and Cappy Powell are serving as the co-chairmen of the event to benefit the American Red Cross of Greater Kansas City. Guests will enjoy feature stories about local heroes and a special presentation by Captain Chesley B.

Broadway’s Gone to the Dogs
Project Poochie, “Poochie Productions: Broadway’s Gone to the Dogs” was held on August 22nd at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. More than 360 guests had a wonderful time at the furry runway fashion show that supports the SASSY Program at Great Plains SPCA and the Pet Memorial Garden.

The 20th annual Sugar Plum Fairy Children’s Ball will be held on December 6th at Union Station Kansas City. Kris Marriott-Calovich is serving as the chairman. Partygoers will enjoy an elegant lunch, followed by a performance of the Kansas City Ballet’s The Nutcracker at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
