Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute
Members of the Marion and Henry Bloch family were honored on February 25th at a renaming celebration for the Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute. The Bloch family has had a longstanding history of board involvement and supporting Saint Luke’s Hospital programs, including an historic $12 million gift to the Hospital last December.

Mr. and Mrs. James Lenuel Mullin II of Lenexa are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Hillary Elaine Mullin, to William Chase Daniel, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayne Daniel of Southlake, Texas. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Herschel Lavoy Manuel of Lenexa and the late Mr. Manuel and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ross Mullin of Lenexa. Hillary is a graduate of Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, Kansas.

Crescendo 2014

Crescendo 2014 will be held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts on November 7th. Deanna and Greg Graves are the honorary chairmen, and Katherine and Jim Schorgl are serving as the chairmen. Proceeds from the event will benefit the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance.

Courtney Goddard is a member of the Rising Stars, Class of 2014. Whenever she is asked to serve on a board or as chairman of an event, she always says ‘yes,’ asking herself, “If not now, when? If not me, who?” Courtney and her husband, Dr. Dana Hawkinson, are the parents of Caroline, age five, and Wyatt, age seven, and live in Mission Hills.¬†

Putting Kids on the Right Course

Ozanam’s Golf Classic, “Putting Kids on the Right Course,” will take place at Ironhorse Golf Club on May 12th. Guests will enjoy a putting contest, a silent auction, a raffle, a delicious lunch from Panera Bread of Kansas, and a four-person scramble tournament. Brady Wombolt is the event chairman.
