A League of Her Own
Julie Randolph is honored to serve as the president of the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, during the 2014-2015 year.  Holiday Mart, the League’s largest fundraiser, will be held at Bartle Hall from October 16th through the 19th. A celebration of the fifth and final year of the League’s community impact area focuses on children’s nutrition and fitness.

Dorothy Claussen and Ernestine White

Twice a week, Dorothy Claussen and Ernestine White cook lunch for the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland’s Wellness Classes for up to 25 people each time. They also are full-time caregivers to their spouses who have Parkinson’s. Susan Varner, who has Parkinson’s and multiple system atrophy (MSA), volunteers at least once a week in the office helping with mailings and office tasks. Thank you, Susan, Ernestine and Dorothy, for all you do for The Foundation.

Captivating Conversation 
The Kansas City Club recently held a Kansas City Conversations event. Members and guests enjoyed socializing and a delicious lunch. Dr. Matthew Naylor, National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial; was the featured speaker.

Tails of Our Town

Mr. Wilson
Emma Lodder and her family recently adopted Mr. Wilson from Great Plains SPCA’s I Like Big Mutts…and Cats Adoption event. Emma enjoys snuggling with Mr. Wilson, and he often naps in her toy crib!

The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City

The Women’s Foundation’s 15th Annual Golf Classic will take place on August 25th at Oakwood Country Club. Valerie Coyazo and Sharon Cruz are serving as co-chairmen of this 18-hole, all-women tournament.
