Evening For Foodies

April 12th is the date for the Vignoble Food & Wine Fest at The National Golf Club. Dr. Carrie and Mischa Bastin, and Inge and George Richter are serving as the co-chairmen. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner with wine parings, prepared by Top Chefs and brothers Michael Voltaggio and Bryan Voltaggio and Chef Michael Corvino, The American Restaurant. Proceeds from the event will support Saint Luke’s North Hospital.

Kimberlee Nicole Ried and Erik Olav Bergrud were married on November 15th in the Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel at Powell Gardens. The bride is the daughter of Vicki Ried of Our Town and Mr. David Ried of Blue Springs, Missouri. She is the granddaughter of Thelma Logan of Our Town, the late Mr. James Edwards and the late Mr. and Mrs. Luke Ried. Her groom is the son of Dr. Jolene Cadenbach of Arcadia, California, and Mr. and Mrs. Bjorn Bergrud of Seattle, Washington.

Dr. and Mrs. Rex Marion Joyce of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lora Kathleen Joyce, to John Clayton Mosbarger, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lee Mosbarger of Goodland, Kansas. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. Lora earned a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry from Kansas State University and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from The University of Kansas.

Glad tidings from Annapolis, Maryland: Caroline Elizabeth Grey was born on January 24th to proud parents Katie Ligibel Grey and Eric Grey. The darling baby girl has blue eyes and brown hair. She weighed eight pounds, 13 ounces. Caroline joins her big sister Emmy, who is two and one half years old. Caroline’s thrilled grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. T. Craig Ligibel of Annapolis, Maryland, and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Grey of Baldwin, Maryland. She is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
