On October 16th, Bishop Spencer Place held its Bishop’s Benefit at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. Jeannette Nichols received the Bishop’s Award, and Alison Coulson was the chairman.

Mary Blair Palmer and Jeffrey Alan Hoffman were married on August 3rd at The James Leary Flood Mansion in San Francisco, California. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Odell Palmer of Dallas, Texas. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick J. Hoffman of Olathe. The evening prior, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Epic Roasthouse. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The James Leary Flood Mansion.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hunter Snell of Charlottesville and Mr. Everett Gibson Kerr of Our Town. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wilkie Wood of Charlottesville and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Edward Kerr of Prairie Village. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ray Wissing of Ashburn, Virginia, and the late Angela Morris Wissing.

The Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties
November 9th was the date for The Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties’ American Girl Fashion Show at Deer Creek Country Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kansas Children’s Service League.
