Annual Meeting
April 25th was the date for The KU Advancement Board’s Annual Meeting at the KU Medical Center. Medical experts from KU Medical Center and The University of Kansas Hospital presented information on the topic of stroke treatment, patient care and research. David Wysong, board chairman; presided over the meeting. Emeritus and Founding members were honored, and new board members were welcomed.

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel D. Norburg of Overland Park are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Elizabeth Norburg, to Peter Keith Tidrick, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Tidrick of Overland Park. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Graham of Overland Park and Mr. and Mrs. Royce Norburg of Our Town. Anne is a graduate of Blue Valley North High School.

WIN for KC Triathlon

Run, Heidi, Run

Heidi Johnson, who competed in the in the WIN for KC Triathlon last year, had heard great things about the event and registered early so she wouldn’t miss out. “The motivational emails I received prior to the race kept me going, and I couldn’t wait for race day. It was very inspiring to see women of all ages finish the race.” The WIN for KC triathlon will take place on July 27th at Smithville Lake.

Centennial Celebration

The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, will commemorate its 100th anniversary with a luncheon, Celebrating a Century of Service, which will take place on September 20th in the Grand Ballroom at Bartle Hall. Hoda Kotb, correspondent for Dateline NBC, co-host of the Today Show and a best-selling author, will be the featured speaker.

Crib Note

Henry Patrick Sullivan
A blue bundle of joy named Henry Patrick Sullivan was born on March 19th. He weighed eight pounds, one ounce, was 19 and a half inches long and has bright blue eyes. His proud parents are Libby and Brady Sullivan of Leawood. Henry’s grandparents are Nan and Mark Meyerdirk of Our Town and Bridget Collins-Sullivan and Terry Sullivan of Denver, Colorado. Henry joins his adoring big brothers, Wheeler, Tate and Teddy.
