Educating Society
MOCSA’s 10th annual Johnson County Fall Forum will be held on October 8th at the Overland Park Marriott. Kay and Tom Martin are the honorary chairmen, and Michele Snyder and Vince Sabia are serving as the co-chairmen. Dr. David Lisak is the featured speaker.

Big Slick Celebrity Poker Tournament & Party

Three of a Kind
Kansas Citians will be laughing their #@*% off the weekend of July 19th and 20th when Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd and Jason Sudeikis come back to Our Town for the Big Slick Celebrity Poker Tournament & Party. The weekend will benefit Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics and will feature a Celebrity Wiffle Ball Tournament, a Texas Hold ’em Poker Tournament and the Big Slick Party and Live Auction.

Spofford

Terrific Trivia
Spofford recently hosted its first annual Trivia Night. More than 150 guests on 18 teams duked it out to be trivia champs for children with categories in pop culture, movies, one hit wonders, and more. The evening also featured an ’80s theme, silent auction, raffle, games, and delicious fare.

The Kansas City Art Institute

Elegant Evening
June 1st was the date for The Kansas City Art Institute’s 2013 Art and Design Auction. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet from Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions, and a performance by dancers from the Kansas City Ballet. Three silent auctions unfolded in the Dodge Building and a live auction took place on the patio of the KCAI Campus.  Mary and Richard Wetzel and Kathy and Mark Donovan were the co-chairmen.
