GONE? HARDLY: KC Ballet presents world premiere by edge-cutting choreographer
You’d be hard-pressed to find an American artist in any field as interesting and engaging as Karole Armitage. The Wisconsin native, who grew up partly in Lawrence, learned classical ballet initially and absorbed the work of George Balanchine at the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève before becoming a dancer with the legendary Merce Cunningham.

Walk For Change 2013

Reducing Poverty one Step at a Time

Walk For Change 2013 will be held on June 22nd at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport. Allison and Mike Haggerty and Nicole and Steve Pierce are the co-chairmen. Proceeds from the event will benefit Catholic Charities of Kansas City – St. Joseph.

42 Premiere

Waddell & Reed
April 11th was the date Waddell & Reed hosted a star-studded screening of the film 42 at AMC BarryWoods 24. The evening benefited the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the Kansas City Sports Commission.
