Shannon Morford, the “Tap Shoe Lady,” has been a dedicated volunteer at Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey’s AileyCamp. Shannon matches up shoe sizes and counts and prepares the tap shoes for the camps. Shannon also volunteers selling merchandise at the Fall Benefit and many other events during the year.

Red Shoe Shindig

On September 7th, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City will host Red Shoe Shindig at Arrowhead Stadium’s North Club. Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, fabulous red footwear and entertainment by the KC All-Stars. Shelly and Andy Iseman are the honorary chairmen.

Pathway to Hope

It’s Tee Time 
Pathway to Hope held its ninth Annual Golf Tournament on June 10th at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club. Players enjoyed great golf and a barbecue dinner following the round.

Crib Note

Robert Joseph Tagliaferro

A darling baby boy named Robert Joseph Tagliaferro arrived on March 19th, St. Joseph’s Day. He weighed seven pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. Robbie was born with blue-green eyes and a full head of auburn hair. His proud parents are Brooke and Christopher Tagliaferro of Lake Forest, Illinois.

Hope House

Margarita Mania
April 26th was the date for Hope House’s second annual Margarita Ball at Studio Dan Meiners. Maria and Danny Pfeifer, Amy Blunt and Matt Mosby and Sarah Millin were the co-chairmen. Guests enjoyed tasty tapas, delicious margaritas and dancing to the tunes of The Zeros and X-Parte.  Proceeds from the event help provide shelter and comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence in Our Town.
