JLKCMO – 30th Annual Holiday Mart

The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s 30th annual Holiday Mart will be held at Bartle Hall from October 19th through the 22nd. Kristal Ronnebaum and Decemeber Brammer are the co-chairmen of the shopping extravaganza that will celebrate “30 Years of Cheer”.

Turner House Children’s Clinic – Hooked on Kids’ Health

Andrea Thomas Ramsey and Stacey Homuth served as co-chairmen of Turner House Children’s Clinic’s Hooked on Kids’ Health event on June 4th at Sturgis Materials. More than 150 guests enjoyed cocktails, a four-course seafood feast from Jarocho’s and a silent auction. More than $18,000 was raised to support Turner House Children’s Clinic.

Royals Charities – Diamond of Dreams

More than 1,250 guests attended Diamond of Dreams, Royals Charities on-field gala, which recently took place at Kauffman Stadium. Guests enjoyed a performance by LeAnn Rimes, a VIP Party and a Black Hawk helicopter. Proceeds supported Royals Charities, which funded local organizations supporting military families.

Children’s Mercy Cancer Center – Big Slick Celebrity Weekend

Paul Rudd, Rob Riggle, Jason Sudeikis, Eric Stonestreet, and David Koechner served as hosts for the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, an annual benefit for the Children’s Mercy Cancer Center. The events, which were held on June 23rd and 24th, included a celebrity softball game at Kauffman Stadium, bowling at Pinstripes and a victory party and auction at the Midland Theatre, as well as visiting with patients at Children’s Mercy. Many famous friends joined in the fun.

Rising Star Reflections – Dolly Wood

Hooray for Dolly Wood! She has served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City for three years. Her first involvement in the organization was with  KC Sexy Singles Auction (now known as Most Wanted Auction). For several years, Dolly has been a team captain for Bowl for Kids’ Sake. She has raised more than $15,000. Dolly has served as a big sister for a Kauffman Scholar (now in the ACES program).
