Rising Star Reflections – Kimberly Wilkerson

Kimberly Wilkerson holds executive leadership positions and oversees operations on the boards of KCPT Public Television 19 and 909 The Bridge and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. Working closely with both boards and the organization’s leaders, Micheal Lawrence, BBBSKC; and Kliff Kuehl, KCPT/The Bridge; she gets to make a high level impact on both of these fantastic organizations.

Kansas City Ballet Guild – 50th Annual Gala

October 7th is the date for the Kansas City Ballet Guild’s 50th Annual Gala, “The Diamond Ball,” at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. The event will kick off the Kansas City Ballet’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee season. Melanie and Michael Fenske are serving as the chairmen. The Ballet Guild is a group of more than 200 women and men whose purpose is to serve as advocates for dance and ballet in Our Town.

26th Annual DeLaSalle Movie Benefit

February 23rd was the date for the 26th Annual DeLaSalle Movie Benefit at B&B Theatres, Overland Park 16. Guests enjoyed an evening of drinks, a strolling buffet featuring many of Our Town’s best restaurants, Mystery Boxes designed by art students, and a surprise screening of the movie, Hidden Figures. Tim Donahue was the honorary chairman.

Park University – Grand Reopening

On March 14th, alumni, guests and members of the faculty and board of trustees celebrated Park University’s grand reopening of its downtown campus center at 911 Main Street, Suite 300, Kansas City, Missouri.

Guests enjoyed a demonstration of Park University Pirate Patch classroom technology.

Cathy Smith addressed the crowd.
