Congratulations, Sarah & Andrew!

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Harrington Tankard of Flower Mound, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Tankard, to Andrew Brandt Bradshaw, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Paul Bradshaw II of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Cleary Tankard of Leawood and the late Mr. Tankard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Augustine McQueeny. Sarah is a graduate of Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas.

Cheers to Volunteers! – Notre Dame de Sion School

Julie Walker-Browne and Pete Browne are proud supporters of Notre Dame de Sion School. The couple’s children, Maureen, Joe and Jack are students at the school. Julie and Pete have focused their time and financial resources for education, the arts and social service organizations for those in need. Julie serves as vice president of the Sion ALLiance parent organization. She is also a classroom representative, a Battle of the Books co-coordinator and a lunchroom volunteer.

Dr. Elizabeth Collins Bacot Myers and Mr. Andrew Collin Sigler were married on May 14th at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston, South Carolina. The bride is the daughter of Drs. deRosset and Felicity Myers of Columbia, South Carolina. Lizzie is the granddaughter of the late Reverend Canon and Mrs. Kenneth Costin and the late Mr. and Mrs. deRosset Myers. Her groom is the son of Linda Evans Sigler and Mr. Andrew Howard Sigler of Our Town.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Erker!

Hannah Gerwick and Andrew Elliott Erker were married on April 30th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Gerwick of Fairway. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Erker of Olathe. The evening prior, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Boulevard Brewery. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a beautiful reception at Mission Hills Country Club.

The Symphony Ball – Evening Overtures

Kathy and Mario Scaglia recently hosted a lovely luncheon for the members of the Symphony League. Members gathered to put the finishing touches on invitations for The Symphony Ball, “Evening Overtures,” to be held on September 10th at the Kansas City Convention Center. Partygoers will enjoy a silent auction, cocktails, a dinner, a performance by the Kansas City Symphony, and dancing to the tunes of the Michael Beers Band.
