2016 Rising Star – Terri Barnes

Terri Barnes is a versatile business leader with a unique blend of customer service and operations experience in the financial service and health care industries. She received her bachelor of science degree in business administration at Park University. Terri was a call-center manager for 22 years at American Century Investments, Upromise Investments and Amerigroup Insurance until she retired in 2014. She has taken those skills and areas of expertise to the non-profit sector.

Alison Hebenstreit and Hunter Westwood Armistead were married at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bryant Hebenstreit of Mission Hills. Alison is the granddaughter of Mrs. Paul Dana Bartlett, Jr. of Our Town and the late Mr. Bartlett and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Hebenstreit. The Jewel Ball – Debutante Tea

The Jewel Ball Debutante Tea was held on June 5th at The Kansas City Country Club. Blythe Launder, Betsey Haynes and Victoria Launder served as the Tea co-chairmen.

Paget Higgins, Mary Jane Barnes and Sue Esrey poured the tea.

The serenade was a special surprise for the guests.

Mary Reed and Page Reed flanked Shawsie Branton.
