The Jewel Ball – The Gentlemen’s Serenade

The Gentlemen’s Serenade was held on June 5th at Mission Hills Country Club. The Gentlemen of The Jewel Ball learned about proper etiquette, how to tie a bow tie and entertained their mothers and grandmothers with a serenade of three songs. Members of the 2014 and 2015 classes of Gentlemen were on hand to assist with the serenade. Dan Bolen was the chairman, and Hunter Wolbach served as the co-chairman.

 Jennifer Sawyer and Stephanie Freeman enjoyed the beautiful songs.

Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation – Golf Baby Golf!

Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation’s Golf Baby Golf! 10th Anniversary Golf Tournament was held on June 10th at WinterStone Golf Course. Harlan Limpus received a special recognition award for hosting the event for the last 10 years. Proceeds support TMC Lakewood Care Center.

Volunteers Candice Brooks, Coffi Bell, Mary Berlin, and Whitney Addison asked golfers to sign a giant birthday card to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the event.

BOTAR President – Missy Love

BOTAR President Missy Love has been active in American Royal activities since she was presented at The BOTAR Ball in 1984. She served as corresponding secretary in 1991, vice president of public relations in 1994 and vice president of the BOTAR Ball in 2009. In addition, she has been co-chairman of the decorations committee, co-chairman of benefactors and has been involved with the parent welcome committee, Presidents’ Tea and BOTAR Night at the Royal.

Cheers To Volunteers! – Gina Lange

Gina Lange is a seventh and eighth grade health teacher at Heritage Middle School in Liberty, Missouri. She is an amazing volunteer for Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City. When the organization began piloting its new Girls on the Run curriculum for middle school girls, Heart & Sole, Gina was asked to lead the new program with her team at Heritage Middle School.
