Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas
Lake Quivira Country Club is the setting for the 34th Annual Ben and Betty Zarda Family Golf Classic, a benefit for Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas, on May 11th. More than 150 players will enjoy lunch, a round of golf, a dinner reception, and an awards ceremony. Proceeds will help feed children in Northeast Kansas through Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas’ Summer Food Program.
Faces of Innocence
April 29th is the date for The Midwest Innocence Project’s Faces of Innocence dinner. Judy Overton and Phyllis Norman are serving as co-chairmen of the event to be held at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Michael Morton, who was wrongfully convicted of murder and spent 25 years in prison, is the guest speaker.
Kansas City Art Institute
Come one, come all to an event you have to see to believe. On June 6th, an evening of art and atmosphere will be assembled on the beautiful campus of the Kansas City Art Institute. The 2015 Art and Design Auction will feature the amazing works of faculty and alumni artists. Chairmen Liz and Nate Orr will serve as the Ring Masters for the exciting evening, where guests will enjoy fabulous fare and electric entertainment.
Barbara Unell and Liz Uhlmann are the honorary co-chairmen, and Jenny Tuck and Cory Miller are the co-chairmen of Synergy Services’ 25th Annual Kindest Kansas Citian Awards, to be held on May 8th at The View at Briarcliff. Dave Frantze, Jacque DeJesus and Holly Starr and Jennifer Surface will be celebrated as Honorary Stars. Proceeds support Synergy Services’ STOP Violence program.
Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS
Dining by Design, a benefit for the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) KC Chapter, will be held on October 3rd at the Kansas City Convention Center. The 25th and final event will showcase the personal passions of some of Our Town’s leading creative talents, as they each create their own dining environment.
