Wild About Harry
The Truman Library Institute’s Wild About Harry will be held on April 23rd at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Rick Atkinson, Pulitzer-Prize winning author of The Liberation Trilogy is the special guest speaker, and the Honorable Bob Dole will receive the Harry S. Truman Legacy of Leadership Award. Henry Bloch, Bill Dunn, Sr. and Ed Matheny are the special World War II Veteran honorees.
Hail to Old KU
The 20th annual Rock Chalk Ball will be held on April 25th in the Grand Ballroom of Bartle Hall. Kelly and Paxson St. Clair are the chairmen of the event will celebrate The University of Kansas’s 150th anniversary. Proceeds support the KU Alumni Association which hosts the annual Ball with its Greater Kansas City Network.

Ann and Kenneth Baum are the honorary chairmen, and Katie Gerson and Lisa Schellhorn are serving as the co-chairmen of The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art’s first annual gala, Create the Night…POP!, to be held on February 21st at the Museum. Members of the Museum’s Committee of 100 gathered on December 16th to prepare the fabulous invitations.
A Toast To Opera
The Lyric Opera Circle’s Champagne Ball will be held on March 28th in the Grand Ballroom of the Kansas City Convention Center. The evening will feature dinner, dancing, an outstanding auction, and world-class musical entertainment, highlighting arias of toasting and celebration from some of the most beloved operas.
Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas
The 41st Annual Snow Ball will be held on January 24th at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, a formal dinner and dancing into the night. Members of the Jean and Bill Dunn family are the honorary presidents, and Mary and Paul Thompson are serving as the presidents of the event that supports Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas and its mission to help those in need.
