Holiday Mart, a four day shopping extravaganza benefiting the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, will be held from October 16th through the 19th at Bartle Hall. Erin Lambert and Kristen Brought are serving as co-chairmen of the event that has raised nearly nine million dollars for community projects since its inception in 1988.
On September 13th, the 9th Annual Carnival for CASA will be held at Paradise Park. An array of activities for the entire family will include lunch, a rock wall, hair designers, a hamster ball from Yes! Kids Fitness, bounce houses, and the Kansas City Zoo’s Zoomobile. Proceeds will help Jackson County CASA serve more than 1,000 abused and neglected children who are under court protection.
Saint Luke’s Hospital
It’s time to channel your inner spy for a night filled with glamour and espionage. The sixth annual Paint the Town, a benefit for Saint Luke’s Hospital, issued a James Bond super spy dress code for the September 20th event that will be held poolside at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. Special Agents include Honorary Chairmen Lou and Dr. Mark Allen and Co-chairmen Kim and Bill Aliber, Mollie and Bill Grojean and Suzzette and Dr. Stephen Griffith.
Kansas City Treasure
A reception for members of the honorary Centennial Celebration Civic Committee kicked off Union Station Kansas City’s 100th anniversary celebration on May 20th. Donald Hall, Jr., Michael Haverty and Thomas McDonnell are serving as the co-chairmen of the Committee. Members will be recognized at Union Station’s Re-Dedication Ceremony on November 1st.

November 6th is the date for ArtsKC’s fifth annual Inspiration Breakfast at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. Susan Gordon and J. Scott Francis are the honorary chairmen, and Kimberlee Ried is serving as the chairman.
