Putting Kids on the Right Course

May 12th is the date for Ozanam’s Golf Classic, “Putting Kids on the Right Course,” at Ironhorse Golf Club. The four-person scramble tournament will feature a putting contest, silent auction, raffle, a delicious lunch from Panera Bread of Kansas, and an awards ceremony. Brady Wombolt is serving as the chairman. Proceeds will support the children’s programs and services at Ozanam.

Kansas City Hospice House Angel Gala

In the Spotlight 
Ellen Bradbury and Carol Gast are the co-chairmen of the 11th annual Kansas City Hospice House Angel Gala. “Come to the Cabaret” is the theme of the event, to be held on August 16th at the DoubleTree by Hilton.

The Kansas City Freedom Schools Initiative

Dare to Dream 
Celebrating 20 years in Kansas City, The Kansas City Freedom Schools Initiative’s annual luncheon, Saving Kansas City’s Sixth Child, will be held on May 14th. Jonah Edelman, Stand for Children; is the featured speaker of the event to be held at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. Debby and Gary Ballard are the chairmen, and Tammy and James Edwards are serving as the co-chairmen.

Raise Your Glass

May 9th is the date for the second annual Pour for More cocktail fundraiser, a benefit for KidsTLC. Kristin and Matt Holton are the chairmen of the event to be held on May 9th at The Guild. Guests will enjoy delectable fare, a silent auction and entertainment by The Dueling Piano Guys.

A Celebration of Women, The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City’s commemorative journal, will be unveiled on May 12th at a Publication Reception. The event will be hosted by Cathy Dean at Polsinelli. The annual publication recognizes and celebrates Our Town’s women and girls. Michelle Suter and Peggy Donica are the co-chairmen.
