Ellen Zimmer Darling (Mrs. Albert Darling, Jr.) will serve as chairman of the 60th anniversary jubilee of The Jewel Ball, which will be held on June 21st at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Ellen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Joseph Zimmer. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Bartlett and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert William Zimmer. Ellen was a page in The Jewel Ball in 1968 and was a debutante in 1978. Her mother, Mrs.

February 8th is the date for Störling Dance Theater’s Inspire Freedom Gala at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. March 1st is the date for Kansas City’s Medicine Cabinet’s sixth annual Kansas City Tip-Off. Mel Lagarde and Kevin Hicks are the honorary co-chairmen. WIN for KC

Women’s Sports Awards Celebration

Christine Kemper is the chairman for WIN for KC’s 20th Annual Women’s Sports Awards Celebration. The event will be held on January 31st at the Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center. Five local female athletes will be honored for their achievements as well as local high school female state champions. The luncheon will kick off a year long celebration of the 20th anniversary of WIN for KC.
