In the Spotlight

Crescendo
Friends of the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC’s Crescendo will be held on November 8th in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Guests will enjoy cocktails before the concert and dinner afterwards in Brandmeyer Hall. Nancy Lee and Jonathan Kemper are the honorary chairmen, and Jenny Erdman and Tim Van Zandt are serving as the co-chairmen.

Holiday Mart
The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s Holiday Mart will celebrate the League’s 100th anniversary, October 17th through the 20th at Bartle Hall. Lisa Kalell and Julie Stoner are the co-chairmen.

League Leader

Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri
Marissa Schaffner is honored to serve as the president of the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, during its 100th year commemoration. One of the centennial events will be a community luncheon which will be held on September 20th at Bartle Hall with guest speaker Hoda Kotb from the Today Show. The JLKCMO’s Holiday Mart, will be held from October 17th through the 20th at Bartle Hall.

Spofford’s Butterfly Gala
October 19th is the date for Spofford’s Butterfly Gala at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Janine and Doug Nickerson and  Dede and Paty Daves are serving as the co-chairmen. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner and silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the event will provide residential and community-based treatment for the children at Spofford.
