The fifty-ninth Jewel Ball, a benefit for The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Kansas City Symphony, was held on June 15th at The Museum. Margaret Hall Pence (Mrs. William Keith Pence) served as the chairman. She wore an exclusive couture gown designed by Carlos Ramirez of Liancarlo.

Educating Society
MOCSA’s 10th annual Johnson County Fall Forum will be held on October 8th at the Overland Park Marriott. Kay and Tom Martin are the honorary chairmen, and Michele Snyder and Vince Sabia are serving as the co-chairmen. Dr. David Lisak is the featured speaker.

The Belles of the American Royal

2013 President
The Belles of the American Royal are pleased to announce to selection of Kim Manka Mann as their 2013 president. The 64th BOTAR Ball will be held on October 19th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Kim is a BOTAR, class of 1990. She served as recording secretary in 1999, vice president of American Royal activities in 2002 and vice president of BOTAR activities in 2005.
