Committee members are preparing for Saint Luke’s East Hospital’s Boo Ball. The October 14th event will be held at The Pavilion at John Knox Village. Laura and Dale Maxwell are the honorary chairmen, and Kari Simpson and Judy Schmoeger are serving as co-chairmen of the circus-themed gala that will feature cocktails, delectable fare, silent and live auctions, and entertainment.
Dinner of Note, a benefit for the Heartland Men’s Chorus, will be held on October 28th at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. This year’s theme is “The Queen and Mad Hatter’s Ball.” The honorary chairmen are Chris Beal and Tim Van Zandt. Jenny Harris and Brian Larios are serving as co-chairmen. Attire? Anything from black tie to Halloween is welcome. The event features cocktails, dinner with wine, live and silent auctions, and dancing.
The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s 30th annual Holiday Mart will be held at Bartle Hall from October 19th through the 22nd. Kristal Ronnebaum and Decemeber Brammer are the co-chairmen of the shopping extravaganza that will celebrate “30 Years of Cheer”.
Hooray for Dolly Wood! She has served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City for three years. Her first involvement in the organization was with KC Sexy Singles Auction (now known as Most Wanted Auction). For several years, Dolly has been a team captain for Bowl for Kids’ Sake. She has raised more than $15,000. Dolly has served as a big sister for a Kauffman Scholar (now in the ACES program).
The North Club at Arrowhead Stadium is the lovely setting for KidsTLC Benefit17. Sybil and Greg Orman are serving as chairmen of the November 4th event. Guests will enjoy fabulous fare, live and silent auctions and a drawing for a new Honda Civic. There will be a Patrons’ Party, and a lively After Party will take place in the Founders Club.
