The Belles of the American Royal will host its Tablescapes Luncheon on September 19th in the American Royal’s Grand Hall. The event will feature shopping booths from 40 designers. Kim Aliber and Becky Herring will serve as the co-chairmen. There will also be a Preview Party on September 18th for guests to attend.

Holiday Mart

Erika Brant and Susan Wilper, co-chairmen

Holiday Mart has made it possible for the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri to raise more than $8 million since 1988. This year they will celebrate their 25th anniversary with a four-day regional shopping experience October 18th through October 21st at Bartle Hall. Erika Brant and Susan Wilper are the co-chairmen.

JDRF

Walk to Cure
JDRF’s 2012 Walk to Cure Diabetes & 5K will be held on October 6th at the Truman Sports Complex. Beth and Bobby Totsch will serve as the co-chairmen. Beth was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 21. Proceeds from the event will help JDRF and its mission to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.

UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance

Crescendo

The UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance will host Crescendo 2012 on November 2nd at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The highlight of the evening will be a performance in Helzberg Hall featuring more than 250 performers on stage in a seamless performance designed to be as brisk as it is eclectic. Lisa Schubert Hickok will serve as the chairman.

63rd BOTAR Ball

The Belles of the American Royal are pleased to announce the selection of Stephanie Smith Kissick as their 2012 president. The 63rd BOTAR Ball will be held on October 20th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Stephanie is a BOTAR, class of 1990. She served as corresponding secretary in 1999, vice president of American Royal activities in 2003 and vice president of BOTAR activities in 2009.
