The Symphony League of Kansas City, Missouri, will present The Symphony Ball, “Fountains of Music,” on September 8th at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. Jill and Donald Hall, Jr., are the honorary chairmen and Miki Christophersen will serve as chairmen. The elegant evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner. The Kansas City Symphony, under the direction of Maestro Michael Stern, will perform.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City will host the Red Shoe Shindig on September 8th at Arrowhead Stadium’s North Club. Kathy and Mark Donovan are the honorary chairmen. Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, live entertainment by Bali Root, and fabulous red footwear.
Michelle and Peter deSilva will serve as the honorary chairmen for the Kemper Museum of Art’s UPTOWN/DOWNTOWN GALA on October 13th. Guests will dine on an exquisite dinner, and enjoy live music both indoors and outdoors. Proceeds from the event will support the Museum’s free exhibitions and education programs.
Boulevard of Dreams
If you think the only way to make a dream come true is wishing on a star or throwing a penny in a wishing well, think again! Join the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City for the third annual Boulevard of Dreams on August 5th. The night will bring Our Town together at the Boulevard Brewing Company for music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and silent and live auctions.
To celebrate its 60th Anniversary, the Brandeis National Committee; Greater Kansas City Chapter will host a Gala High Tea on April 10th at the Webster House. Shirley Bush Helzberg will host the Tea, and Michael Stern, director of the Kansas City Symphony; will be the guest speaker. The Tea will raise funds for scientific research at Brandeis University.
