Off the Wall
Off the Wall, a gallery event and art auction, will be held on October 20th.  Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, wine, an art auction, and live music.  Steve Metzler and Brian Williams are the honorary chairmen, and Heather and Tom Moser are serving as the chairmen.  Proceeds support the Children’s Clinical Services program at Sheffield Place.

Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey

Gala 2011
November 19th is the night for the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey Gala 2011.  Signature Suppers will be held in homes and creative venues throughout Our Town.  Then guests will gather at the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts for a dynamic performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.  The After Party will provide an opportunity for guests to mingle and dance with the performers.

Kansas City Zoo

Kids’ Jazzoo
Kids’ Jazzoo will be held on September 10th.  The event, designed for children ages three to 12, will feature opportunities to see the animals up close, create crafts, enjoy taste treats from local restaurants, and groove to live entertainment.  Robbin Reynolds is serving as the chairman.  Proceeds will benefit the Kansas City Zoo’s Zoo Learning Fund.

MOCSA

Young at Art
The Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) will hold its seventh Young at Art Cocktail Party and Art Auction on August 26th at The Uptown Theater.  The event will feature music by The Elders, a silent auction and delicious refreshments.  Patty and Don Kincaid are serving as the honorary chairmen, and Amy Abrams and Erin Mos are the co-chairmen.

First Downs for Down Syndrome

Huddle Time
Huddle Time will take place on June 9th at Paddy O’Quigley’s in Leawood and will feature live and silent sports auctions.  Masters of Ceremonies will be sports radio host Steven St. John, along with Chiefs players Rudy Niswanger and Ryan Lilja and the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line.  Proceeds will benefit First Downs for Down Syndrome (FDFDS), which raises funds for area individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
