Megan Allen and Casey Brownsberger are serving as the co-chairmen of The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s Holiday Mart from October 20th through the 23rd at Bartle Hall. The 29th annual shopping event will feature more than 200 specialty retailers.
Mariel Hemingway, actress, author and passionate advocate for mental health, is the special guest speaker for Crittenton Children’s Center’s Toast for the Children on October 20th at Union Station Kansas City.
At HappyBottoms, a committee of Junior League volunteers counts, wraps and fills diaper orders, which run more than 130,000 diapers per month. They spend time individually creating special marketing pieces such as handouts for the clients and identifying the locations of diaper programs. During fundraising events, they have been invaluable, selling raffle tickets, arranging silent auction items and making sure that the guests are having a great time.
Jennifer Berhorst moved to Kansas City in 2006 to attend law school at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She is an attorney at Bryan Cave and focuses her practice on business litigation and employment litigation. Jennifer is a member of Centurions, class of 2017, and serves on the projects committee. She enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her children at the Kansas City Zoo.
The Symphony League’s Symphony Ball is fast approaching and promises to be the premier kick-off event of the fall season. Christine and Ford Maurer will serve as the honorary chairmen, to be held on September 10th in the Grand Ballroom of the Kansas City Convention Center. Barbara Storm is serving as the chairman.
Christine is from Kirkwood, Missouri, which is a suburb of St. Louis. Ford is originally from Our Town.
