Twilight at the TreeHouse

Liberty Hospital Foundation

Ray Brock was honored with the O’Dell Award for Philanthropy at Liberty Hospital Foundation’s Twilight at the TreeHouse on June 13th. The sixth annual event, a benefit for the TreeHouse as well as the Foundation’s mission-based funds, was held on the lawn of Liberty Hospital’s hospitality home. The TreeHouse was established to serve as a home away from home for the families of patients at no cost to those who need it.

Annual Spring Luncheon
Milburn Country Club was the place for the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s Annual Spring Luncheon on May 21st. Guest Speaker Shannon Hodge brought a new perspective on ways of looking at food in her presentation, “Stop the Food Fight.” Ralph Wrobley and his son, Kirk Wrobley, presented Kay Roscoe with the Madeline C. Wrobley Volunteering With Passion Award.

45th Symphony Designers’ Showhouse

The Kansas City Symphony Alliance
The Designers of the 45th Symphony Designers’ Showhouse were celebrated recently at the Designers’ Toast Party 2014. The Kansas City Symphony Alliance has hosted the longest-running, continuous Showhouse event in the country. This year’s stunning design work was featured at 1246 West 59th Street.

Fur Ball Gala

Wayside Waifs
May 10th was the date for Wayside Waifs annual Fur Ball Gala at the Overland Park Convention Center. The score card of fun included an all-star “tail”gate, dinner, silent and live auctions, and adorable puppies and kittens. More than 1,000 guests attended the sold-out baseball themed event, “Our Waifs Are in a League of Their Own.
