Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care

Champagne & Chocolate
More than 300 guests sampled savories and desserts from more than 40 of Our Town’s top restaurants, bakeries and chocolatiers at the 18th Annual Champagne and Chocolate. Proceeds from the event benefited Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care. Mary Morris and Julie Zwillenberg served as the co-chairmen, and LesLee and Pete Smith were the honorary chairmen.

St. Teresa’s Academy Auction

Starry Night
November 17th was the date for St. Teresa’s Academy’s Auction. Cynthia and Pat McCarthy, Christine and Doug Fielder and Julie and Mike McCann served as co-chairmen. The “Swinging on a Star” themed-event featured a delicious gourmet dinner from Garozzo’s Ristorante and silent and live auctions. Larry Moore was the emcee, and George Nigro served as the auctioneer.

UPTOWN/DOWNTOWN Patrons’ Party

Fabulous Féte
The beautiful home of Kelly and Jon Lambert was the site for The Patrons’ Party for the Kemper Museum’s UPTOWN/DOWNTOWN Gala. Guests were entertained by Phat Strad and musicians from Park University. Michelle and Peter deSilva were the Gala honorary chairmen, and Holly Mihalovich and Hallie Peavey served as the Gala co-chairmen.

Ailey II

Dance the Night Away
Ailey II was held on October 6th at the Folly Theater. An After Party was held at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Dr. Michael Weaver was the honorary chairman, and Angela Bennett and Sherri Wattenbarger served as the co-chairmen. Artistic Director Troy Powell and Choreographer Benoit-Swan Pouffer delighted guests with an amazing program featuring their diverse creative talents.

17th Annual Dinner of Note

A Singing Donation
Heartland Men’s Chorus chose LIKEME Lighthouse as co-beneficiary of the 17th annual Dinner of Note on October 13th at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Heartland Men’s Chorus has been singing out as Kansas City’s gay men’s chorus for 27 years in Our Town and chose the new LIKEME Lighthouse LGBT community center in Midtown as its first co-beneficiary because they share a common mission.
