Terrific Trip
A group of Israeli high school juniors recently paid a visit to Our Town. During their trip, the teens visited with students at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy and Blue Valley North High School, as well as touring the Jewish Community Campus, Leawood’s Gezer Park and the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum.

Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation

New Voices for Medicine
The Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation announced that Teresa and Frank White will serve as spokesmen for Kansas City’s Medicine Cabinet. Frank, a Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer and T-Bones coach; and Teresa will help promote awareness for one of Our Town’s only resources for immediate, short-term medical assistance for low-income individuals who are uninsured or underinsured.

A Beneficial Breakfast
Jewish Family Services hosted a breakfast at the Jewish Community Campus recently to kick off its “Friends of the Family” campaign. Nick Haines served as the emcee and spoke to guests about the many ways JFS provides assistance for individuals and families. Marc Hammer, board chairman; served as the Friends campaign chairman.
