Gould Evans – STEAM Studio

Gould Evans was the site for the November 18th Open House at the STEAM Studio. Guests experienced the hands on workshops that area children, ages kindergarten through 12th grade, take part in on school field trips. The Studio was created in partnership with Gould Evans and Founder Mandi Sonnenberg, an education professor at Rockhurst University.

Heartland Men’s Chorus – Dinner of Note

The Heartland Men’s Chorus’ Dinner of Note was held on October 17th at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. Stewart Smith and Matthew J. Stretz were the honorary chairmen, and Kimberlee Ried and Howard Collinson served as co-chairmen of the “Road Trip” themed-event. Proceeds from the event will support the Chorus’ Testimony Tour to central and western Kansas, where they will perform their songs of inclusion and diversity.

Synergy Services – Stand Up for Synergy

The Improv at Zona Rosa was the setting for the ninth annual Stand Up for Synergy, a benefit for Synergy Services. The ninth annual event featured a stand up performance by Billy Gardell, star of television’s Mike and Molly. Janine Akers and Ryan Anderson were co-chairmen of the event that supports the women, children and families in need at Synergy Services.

Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce – Annual Dinner

Carol Hallquist and Michael Hagedorn served as co-chairmen of The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner on November 19th at the Kansas City Convention Center. Nearly 2,000 guests attended the “Proud to be KC” themed-event. Greg Graves received the Kansas Citian of the Year Award, and Incoming Chairman Terry Bassham, Outgoing Chairman Terry Dunn and Jim Heeter, Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce; were also honored.
