CGSC Foundation – Celebration of International Friendship

The CGSC Foundation in partnership with the GKC Chapter of People to People and Operation International from the Leavenworth/Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the second annual Celebration of International Friendship at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The event was held to honor and welcome the 2015-2016 class of international military officers studying at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.

Prelude 2015: Building on the Past. Imagining the Future

Members of the Karbank family were the honorary chairmen, and Prudence and Robert True served as chairmen of Prelude 2015: Building on the Past. Imagining the Future. As the inaugural event in The 1900 Building, Harriman-Jewell Series’ guests enjoyed an evening in industrial elegance, complete with cocktails, dinner by Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions, a silent auction, and a performance by emerging violinist Simone Porter.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art – Create The Night…Masterpiece!

Members of the Committee of 100 (C100) met on September 24th at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art to start planning the annual gala, Create The Night…Masterpiece!, which will take place on February 20th at the Museum. The black-tie affair will highlight the opening of the Museum’s exhibit, Reflecting Class in the Age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Partygoers will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a delicious sit-down dinner by Lon Lane’s Inspired Occasions.

The National World War I Museum and Memorial – Night at the Tower

The National World War I Museum and Memorial’s inaugural Night at the Tower event was held on September 19th. Arzelia Gates, Ollie Gates and Anita and Gerald Gorman were the honorary co-chairmen, and Evelyn Craft Belger and Trudy Gabriel served as the co-chairmen.

Quixotic performed on the Paul Sunderland Glass Bridge during the VIP Sponsor Reception.

Partygoers were dazzled by the beautiful entrance to The National World War I Museum and Memorial.
