Courtney Earnest was the honorary chairman, and Melissa Earnest, Joanna Glaze and Pam Thompson were the host co-chairmen of the 10th annual Girls’ Night In. The February 26th event was held at The Gallery Event Space. Proceeds support the Adelaide C. Ward Women’s Heart Health Center at The University of Kansas Hospital and Turning Point: The Center for Hope and Healing.

Benedictine College’s 44th Annual Scholarship Ball was held on February 28th at the Overland Park Convention Center. Lené Westerman and Joan and Stephen Charbonneau were the co-chairmen of the event. Peggy and Steve McBride and Linda and Dr. Jim Bongers were honored with the Cross of the Order of St. Benedict.

February 28th was the date for 45th annual Hunt Family Foundation and Kansas City Chiefs’ 101 Awards at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center. Joe Freeman served as chairman of the event that supports the Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation.

Red Hot Night Gala

Children’s Mercy Hospital 
Colleen Dougherty Euteneuer and Joe Euteneuer were the honorary chairmen, and Kurt Manske and Braden Perry served as co-chairmen of the Hands & Hearts Auxiliary’s 11th annual Red Hot Night Gala, benefiting Children’s Mercy Hospital. The February 14th event featured cocktails, live music, a gourmet dinner, auctions, and dancing to an ’80s tribute band.

39th Annual Steer Dinner & Auction
Avila University’s 39th Annual Steer Dinner & Auction was held on February 7th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. More than 650 guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, silent and live auctions and dancing to the Saucy Jack Band. President Ron Slepitza declared the evening as the official kick off to Avila’s Centennial Celebration, as the University turns 100 years in 2016.
