Broadway’s Gone to the Dogs
Project Poochie, “Poochie Productions: Broadway’s Gone to the Dogs” was held on August 22nd at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza. More than 360 guests had a wonderful time at the furry runway fashion show that supports the SASSY Program at Great Plains SPCA and the Pet Memorial Garden.

Opening Gala
September 13th was the date for Halls on Grand’s Opening Gala. Partygoers enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, special entertainment, and tours of the exquisite shopper’s paradise.

Arrow Fabricare

One Hundred Years of Quality

One of Our Town’s most respected businesses, Arrow Fabricare Services, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. It was originally founded by Joseph Gershon, who immigrated to the United States from Poland. Due to Joseph’s exceptional skills with needle and thread, he opened Arrow’s doors in 1914, just a few blocks down from where the company is currently located.

Hope & All That Jazz

Hope House
Geri and Dave Frantze served as the chairmen of Hope & All That Jazz on August 16th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Proceeds from the 25th anniversary event support Hope House’s mission to provide shelter and comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence in Our Town.

Charity Bingo Night

The Family Conservancy
August 2nd was the date for The Family Conservancy’s Charity Bingo Night. Staff, board members and supporters enjoyed the fun atmosphere and fierce competition at Hamburger Mary’s. 
Also featured in the September 6th issue of The Independent 

Yelp supported the event by donating Yelp Swag as a giveaway for each bingo winner.
