The Young Friends of Art’s 24th annual Party Arty: Coloring Outside the Lines is set for January 23rd at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. More than 1,400 young professionals will enjoy an evening full of big surprises. Jennifer Meyer Howerton is serving as chairman.
Andy Schieber is one of the 1,200 Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas monthly volunteers. He helps with the Grocery Food Rescue Program. Andy picks up donated perishable food items from local grocery stores and delivers them to the Hope Distribution Center. Because of volunteers like Andy, more than 12,000 neighbors in need are fed every month.
Gretchen FitzGerald is an account executive at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City and is member of Centurions, class of 2017. Gretchen and her husband, John, enjoy watching their kids play sports, supporting the Royals and other local teams, working on their house, and being social with family and friends.
Mikaela Blocher and Shelby Frigon were co-chairmen of MOCSA’s 12th annual Johnson County Fall Forum. The October 7th event was held at the Overland Park Marriott. Jeffrey Bucholtz was the keynote speaker, and Sarah and Jon Baum served as honorary chairmen.
The Lyric Opera Ball committee and board members recently had a fabulous party to kick off the Seduction Ball, inspired by the opera, Carmen. Susan Bubb, Regina Kort, Heather Ryan, and Suzanne Shank served as the hosts. The Lyric Opera Circle’s Seduction Ball will be held on April 2nd at Union Station Kansas City.
