Kate McKinney is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and the Vanderbilt University Law School. She is an attorney with Martin, Pringle, Oliver, Wallace, & Bauer. Kate is a member of Centurions, Class of 2016. She serves on the legacy project committee, benefiting Amethyst Place. Kate serves on the board of directors at the Kansas City CARE Clinic, and was a previous co-chairman of the BLOOM Party.
Jim Humphrey is a partner at Polsinelli. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation and class actions. Jim is a member of Centurions, Class of 2015. He is chairman of the January Task Force on The Greater KC; Beyond Downtown and serves on the social committee. Jim and his wife, Heather, have two children, Harper and Jimmy.

Melanie Fenske was completely surprised when she was nominated to be a Rising Star of Philanthropy by Amanda Crain and June Anne Chalfant through her work for MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault). “There are so many people who do amazing things, and it’s such an honor. MOCSA helps our community be a better place,” said Melanie.
Caring For Others
Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph’s Outpace Poverty will be held on June 20th. The 5K Walk/Run starts on the north lawn of The National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial. Jean and Jeff Akerly are chairmen of the event that supports Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph’s mission to prevent and reduce poverty in Kansas City and Northwest Missouri.
Michael Judy was born and raised in Our Town. He is a graduate of Rockhurst High School. Michael is a member of Centurions, Class of 2015 and serves as the co-chairman of the recruiting committee and chairman of the retreat committee. He is a partner with Dysart Taylor law firm. Michael and his wife, Mary Jane, have three sons, Hank, Charlie and Russ.
