Rose Brooks Center’s annual Field Day event would not be the same without Coach John DeWitt, Belvidere Elementary School. John donates his time, equipment and energy to transform the grounds into a maze of relays, parachutes, balloon tosses, sack races, and more. Thanks to John’s kindness and generosity, the nearly 50 children living Rose Brooks Center enjoy a day full of smiles, normalcy, escape, and healing.
Lydia Allen is a member of the Centurions, class of 2018. She is a steering committee member and serves on the May Trip Task Force. A native of Our Town, Lydia is the ArtsKC Fund Manager at ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council. She enjoys learning about new volunteer opportunities in the arts, education and healthcare through Centurions.
Dolly Wood is an occupational therapist at The University of Kansas Hospital and is a member of the 2017 Class of Rising Stars. Said Rachel Sexton, VPR Creative Group: “I met Dolly when I was a first-year active member of The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, and she was my committee chairman, leading us on a year-long project for the Brain Injury Association.
Georgiane Hayhow is a member of Centurions, class of 2018. She serves on the recruiting committee and the Wild Card Task Force. Georgiane has her own real estate team, The Hayhow Group with Better Homes and Gardens. She serves on the board of Mercy Ambassadors at Children’s Mercy and on the Towers After Hours committee at Starlight Theatre. Georgiane has four children.
David Ball, Ball’s Food Stores; has continued the philanthropic legacy started by his parents through his leadership and support of KVC Health Systems. David currently serves as KVC’s executive board co-chairman and provides guidance, campaign leadership, personal gift giving, and support of KVC.
