Jeff Turner grew up in Chillicothe, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is a member of the Centurions Class of 2015 and serves as a co-chairman of the Benchmarking Trip Task Force. Jeff lives in Brookside with his wife, Amy, and their two daughters, Corrine and Anna.
Kansas City Young Matrons
On October 8th, The Kansas City Young Matrons celebrated Civics Honoring Day at their historic clubhouse. Past presidents and silver, life and honorary members were honored. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Kansas City Executive Director Guyla Stidman educated members about the services the organization provides to those who suffer from mental illness. KCYM will host The Magic Ball on January 15th, which will benefit NAMI UMKC.
64th Annual Community Ball and Cotillion
The Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties is honored to present 82 high school seniors and four high school juniors at the 64th Annual Community Ball and Cotillion on December 6th at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Participants were chosen based on leadership, character and service.
The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s Healthy U program focuses on nutrition and undernourishment, healthy choices, eating on a budget, and fitness. In partnership with Harvesters, the League has adopted University Academy, providing classes and family dinners to participants at the school.
After spending more than 10 years as an attorney in private practice, Angela Harse joined Children’s Mercy Hospital as Staff Counsel and Assistant Risk Manager. Angela is a member of the Centurions Class of 2015. She serves as the communication chairman and is helping to plan the December Task Force and the Women’s Forum next spring. Angela is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the UMKC School of Law.
