Jim Allin

Jim Allin has worked for Applied Industrial Technologies for the past 16 years. He is a member of the Centurions Class of 2015. Jim serves as co-chairman for the 2015 Benchmarking Trip. He is a member of the service projects committee. Jim enjoys volunteering with the South Independence Evening Optimist Club, National MS Society – Mid America Chapter and the Rockhurst University Leadership Studies Advisory Board.

Centurions 
Ladies from the Centurions Class of 2015 gathered recently at Blue Moose Bar and Grill for a Baby Shower in honor of Kara Lowe and Suzanne Prendergast. Kara Lowe’s little bundle of joy, Emmett, arrived just in time to attend the party. Suzanne Prendergast is due this fall. Adorable onesies were presented to the honorees that said, “Centurions Class of 2044.

2014 Crescendo

Tipping Our Hat 
Deanna and Greg Graves are the honorary chairmen, and Katherine and Jim Schorgl are serving as the chairmen of UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance’s 2014 Crescendo. The November 7th event will be held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The exciting evening showcases the amazing students and faculty in a dynamic performance. Jacob Funk is one of these talented students. He is studying toward his doctor of musical arts degree in choral conducting.

Emeka Anyanwu

Emeka Anyanwu graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and received his master’s degree in business administration from Rockhurst University in 2007. He is director of asset management, planning and design at Kansas City Power & Light Company. Emeka is a member of the Centurions, Class of 2015, and serves on the Wildcard Task Force, which focuses on emergency preparedness.

Steve Pello has been a volunteer with Wayside Waifs for the last 15 years. He has watched the organization evolve into what it is today. Thanks to Steve’s dedication and love, the animals flourish and learn to trust again. Steve’s wisdom and experience make him a valuable asset to new volunteers and the staff at Wayside.
