The March of Dimes’ Signature Chefs Auction will take place on October 13th at Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. Chef Jimmy Bannos, Sr. is one of eight chefs who will be featured. For 34 years, his Heaven on Seven restaurants have been some of the most popular dining destinations in Chicago.
The Signature Chefs Auction, a benefit for The March of Dimes, will be held on October 13th at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. Chef Mark Gaier and Chef Clark Frasier of Arrows and MC Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine, and M.C. Spiedo Ristorante & Bar in Boston, Massachusetts, will be cooking at one of the eight tasting stations at the event. In 2010, the James Beard Foundation named Mark and Clark as “Best Chefs in the Northeast.
Kim Steakle has been a dedicated volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association for the past five years. She is personally and professionally connected to Alzheimer’s and is a true champion for the cause. Kim Steakle works at Thoughtful Care (Senior Home Care Services) in Family Relations. She shares her passion in all areas, including community awareness, education and fundraising.
Chris Dove is a member of the Centurions, Class of 2014. He is a trial attorney in the intellectual property group at Shook, Hardy & Bacon. Chris provides pro bono legal services and volunteers with Legal Aid of Western Missouri and Jackson County Family Court. Chris and his wife, Beatriz Ibarra, recently moved to Kansas City after living in Washington, D.C. for many years. They have two children, Penelope and Leo.

Betsy enjoys going to football games, watching college basketball and taking her children to the zoo.
